HOW CAN I IMPROVE MY IMMUNE SYSTEM?!

Updated: Apr 11, 2020

By: Kris Calmese

Contrary to what is believed, the human being is actually a living, breathing immune system. The immune system is a complex defense system comprising many biological structures and processes within an organism that protects the organism:

  • The eyes and it's six to seven million living, breathing cone cells that are present to provide the sight needed in order to navigate in the world.

  • The lungs extract clean oxygen and expells foreign matter and unusable carbon dioxide.

  • The heart supplies the oxygen and nutrients to the cells/mucles/organs to promote the ability to survive the world with voluntary physical control and activity.

  • The stomach breaks down food and sends the nutrients though the body where needed. The remaining product is called "ash". The alkalinity of that food is to be found in that "ash" and is reported to balance the body's alkalinity level (acid, alkaline neutral). How we eat, whether an acid, alkaline or neutral, affects the human gut flora directly. Highly acidic foods promote and acidic and system, developing (and increasing the symptoms of) countless pains, illnesses and conditions.

  • The liver and kidneys have thousands of functions necessary for toxin excretion, nutrient metabolism.

  • The spine protects the brain's communication avenues (brain stem) so that the body can function without the human's awareness. It also provides the structure for the body to depend on to navigate life with.

  • The musculoskeletal system holds the entire body together. Without strengthening this system the body literally begins to "fall apart" as muscle degenerates without regular strengthening activities.

  • Adrenal glands produce the stress hormones, prompted by the autonomic nervous system's "fight or flight" mechanism that ceases the bodily organs' responsibilities in order to gather all of the human strength to survive danger.

  • The intestines moves waste out of the body in secured fashion to prevent infection.

  • Reproductive organs are designed to ensure the existence of the organism's genetic patterns of life behaviors.

Hundreds of billions and trillions of living, breathing bacterium called the flora, or "good bacteria" are responsible for:

  • Destroying bad bacteria and preventing overgrowth

  • Breaking up gas bubbles from food fermentation

  • Boosting your immune system's function

  • Assist with vitamin synthesis (vitamins B and K in the small intestine)

  • Keep your bowel movements regular

  • Keep your colon "clean" (naturally) negating the need for colon cleansers

There are so many more different more immune functions that haven't been mentioned, and an imbalance in any one of those subjects creates a great deal of dis-ease in the body. Treating the body as the living, breathing immune system that it is designed to be, is the way to create the defense that is capable of fighting off, preventing, and eliminating the vast majority of dangers and dis-eases of our individual worlds.

"How can I improve my immune system?" is the question I get a the most in my email and social media inboxes these days. With this virus situation going on I had to increase our vitamin C intake, and improve our nutritional intake at the start of each day.

WHAT ARE ELECTROLYTES?

Chemically, electrolytes are substances that become ions in solution and acquire the capacity to conduct electricity in the human body. The balance of the electrolytes in our bodies is essential for normal function of our cells and our organs. In strengthening the immune system functions it is essential to maintain and replenish electrolyte levels naturally. Potassium is an electrolyte that applies balance to high blood pressure, heart and kidney disorders, anxiety and stress. Potassium also helps improve electrolytic functions, enhance muscle strength, metabolism, water balance, and supports the nervous system.

With this spinach, kiwi, orange, celery, ginger juice will come a great "thank you" from your immune system. Along with the high potassium content, the kiwi, spinach, oranges and lemons are among the foods rated highest in naturally occurring vitamin C content, and the folate content is through the roof!

WHAT IS FOLATE?

Folate is a primarly plant-sourced B-vitamins and is needed to make red and white blood cells in the bone marrow, convert carbohydrates into energy, and produce DNA and RNA.

The recommended daily allowance (RDA) of folate is different for people of different ages:

  • 0 to 6 months: 65 mcg

  • 7 to 12 months: 80 mcg

  • 1 to 3 years: 150 mcg

  • 4 to 8 years: 200 mcg

  • 9 to 13 years: 300 mcg

  • over 14 years: 400 mcg

  • during pregnancy: 600 mcg

  • during lactation: 500 mcg

8oz of this beverage provides approximately 100% dv of folate!

JUICE RECIPE:

12 celery sticks

4 cups spinach

6 kiwis(with skin)

6 oranges(with or without skin)

2 lemons(with or without skin)

1/4 lb ginger(with skin)

12oz water

Store tightly and refregerate immediately.

Serve cold.

Keeps for up to 72 hours.

WHOLE FOOD BREAKFAST:

Here we don't buy boxes cereals other than whole oats and grits. I decided to give you all an idea on how to get a good deal of healthy fats, muscle building protein, gastrointestinal problem-preventing fiber, the energy to train productively, blood pressure-balancing/neurological function-improving omega-3 fatty acids, and macular degeneration-preventing antioxidants. The vast majority of these ingredients came from whole foods that we shopped for ourselves. Reason? Because multivitamins are not what we were designed to depend on for our nutrition when our food can provide everything we need, and then some.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH DEPENDING ON VITAMINS AND SUPPLEMENTS?

The vast majority of these ingredients came from whole foods that we shopped for ourselves. We were designed to identify these whole food nutrients far more naturally than from artificial multivitamins. Inside the mouth alone are the absorption mechanisms in place to extract many naturally occurring nutrients in whole foods. The saliva alone is designed to help the body to identify the necessary PH for the stomach to provide proper digestion of that which is currently being chewed. Kidney stones are often the result of consuming artificial vitamin C. Excess vitamin C is excreted from the body as oxalate, a bodily waste product. Oxalate typically exits the body via urine. However, under some circumstances, oxalate may bind to minerals and form crystals that can lead to the formation of kidney stones. Consuming too much vitamin C has the potential to increase the amount of oxalate in your urine, thus increasing the risk of developing kidney stones. This "too much" is provided solely by the artificial sourcing from supplemental consumption. The multivitamin and supplement business is heavily saturated with products of no benefit, and often negative long term effects.

WHAT'S AN EASY WAY TO TELL HOW POORLY SOURCED YOUR MULTIVITAMIN IS?

Take a look at your multivitamin and see how poorly they view the value of your health. Look for "B-12" and see if it says "(from cyanocobalamin)" or "(methylcobalamin)". Cyanocobalamin is a synthetic form of vitamin B12 that is not found in nature. It’s used more frequently in supplements, as it’s considered more stable and cost-effective than other forms of vitamin B. Methylcobalamin is naturally occurring and easier to sustain as much of cyanocobalamin is found lost in urine.

CEREAL RECIPE:

3/4 C 5 minute oats

1+ T chia seeds

1 oz almonds

1 T peanut butter

1/2-1 banana sliced

Dash of cinnamon

2-3 droplets of vanilla extract

1-2oz blueberries

1 C coconut milk(energy fats), almond milk(magnesium), organic soy(protein), oat milk(protein, minerals)

Serve like a cold bowl of cereal.

If you would like to soften the oats, allow to sit refrigerated with the milk stirred in, for at least 10 minutes.
