Turmeric, The Root Of The Solution

There will be more in the future on this very powerful food, turmeric. To get everyone caught up, I decided to give a quick breakdown of several of it's benefits; particularly it's naturally inherent healing substance, curcumin.

Tumeric has many scientifically-proven health benefits including the potential to prevent some of humanity's most concerning illnesses: heart disease, Alzheimer's and cancer. It's a potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and may also help improve symptoms of depression and arthritis.

One of turmeric’s main claims to fame is it’s ability to help fight inflammation, and the bulk of turmeric’s inflammation-fighting powers can be credited to curcumin. In fact, in the right dose, curcumin may be a more effective anti-inflammatory treatment than common inflammation-fighting medications such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen, and without the long-term side effects.

Curcumin, in scientific studies, has proven to protect against types of colits, stomach ulcers, and high cholesterol, helps treat upset stomach, type 1 and 2 diabetes, depression, uveitis(an eye infection), and viral infections.

Now that we have a basic understanding of what it's know for, we can discuss the flavor....Its different...🤣. We juice turmeric almost regularly. It boils well as a tea(5 minutes), and is often shaved thinly to flavor an array of foods.
